Suzanne Handler

Suzanne Handler’s professional background as a classroom history teacher led to a 26-year career as a mental health educator. Since her retirement, she has researched and published a book about the stigma of mental illness in her own family: The Secrets They Kept: The True Story of a Mercy Killing That Shocked a Town and Shamed a Family.
